This is not the time
And your senses are on override
I'm taking pictures of future memories
Before it all goes down
Empire falls again
Long gone, youth of tomorrow
New world, the money's all been spent
Lost cause, get ready to place your bets
I can't remember why
But the blame is on the other side
I'm watching holograms
Of future centuries
We don't recognize ourselves
Empire falls again
Your life is on trial
There's a price on your head
You're gonna have to pay
For all you've given away
The security is all in your mind
You know the safety in numbers
Is making us blind
Your life is on trial
Don't stand a chance
What are we trying to conceal
When all will be revealed
All the words you ever said
There's only truth or consequence
You've been here before
It's a dangerous world
Maybe the truth isn't paved in gold
All this resistance
Are we playing a game?
The world of denial
Can't change the lie
This is not the time
And your senses are on override
I'm taking pictures of future memories
Before it all goes down
Empire falls again
Long gone, youth of tomorrow
New world, the money's all been spent
Lost cause, get ready to place your bets
I can't remember why
But the blame is on the other side
I'm watching holograms
Of future centuries
We don't recognize ourselves
Empire falls again
about
“Youth Of Tomorrow” speaks of today’s disenchanted youth. Social media motivated while feeling ripped off and still under control of their elder's corporate ideals, and rigidly controlled system. Comprising the classic 80s aestheticism of their analog synth based sound with tribal beats, and production of the modern digital age. “The song is a cynical, but celebratory, anthem,” says singer Darrin Huss. “It engages with today’s disenchanted youth, a demographic nostalgic for the 80s but looking towards an increasingly monetized future.”
“Truth Or Consequence” is no slouch B-Side either. Instead we have a song over 5 years in the making. Beginning as “Life on Trial” in respect to the Bradley Manning court case, and now reflecting on the freedom of said whistleblower, subsequently known as Chelsea Manning who's sentence was commuted before the end of the Obama administration. The lyrics consider protests and survival within the Trump era. Dieselgate, Twitter Trolls, and social unrest.
Vocally Darrin has reached new heights in his abilities throughout Psyche’s latest live performances, and it definitely shows on the new recordings. Stefan Rabura with his exceptional sense of sonic abilities, and intuitive soundscaping is the perfect match for Darrin’s brother Stephen, who left us just as Psyche began their renaissance through their 30th anniversary releases of their 80s masterpieces on ArtofFact Records.
This is the 12” single all Psyche fans need.

From the moment I purchased this album ( first on CD, now on download) I loved it. This is certainly one of my favorite albums in regards to the EBM genre. Gabe Kristen Buche alternative bc profile
